Before & After

Sandy from Sandy's Place was kind enough to share with us some of her amazing before and after transformations. I am sure she sleeps with paintbrush in hand!

Isn't she clever? Just goes to show that a little paint can go a long way.

Don't be frightened to paint. It's the easiest transformation you can make. The cost of a tin of paint is much cheaper than a new piece of furniture!

Lots more DIY over at the The Decorating Forum today.

Please pop back lots this week as we are posting every day.

Inspiring. I might get the paintbrush out and do some "making over" myself.

Thanks for the great posts.

I would love to do some furniture making-over, but never seem to find the time/patience...It's not the painting that bores me, it's the prep... and as my husband assures me again and again, GOOD PREP IS NINE TENTHS OF THE JOB EDWINA.

I always admire Sandy's work. She breathes new life into old unwanted furniture. And she does a fantastic job with it too.

What great improvements. I'd just love a nice hall stand like hers :)
I am also itching to paint something!

Very clever. I think I need a hallstand just like that! Paint is and amazing thing.

I wish I had the patience to start a beautiful project like some of those and be able to follow through to see the outcome....
What great style and taste, love it all.

Thanks Katrina what a thrill and thankyou girls for all your lovely comments. Yes it is true I do have a paint brush in every room (no not really) its just something I have been doing for years. I thought the novelty would have worn off now but ten years down the track I still can't sit still and love the thrill of a makeover. I can't have a project sit there for too long and I truly believe that this Queensland weather helps me get things done a lot quicker as well. Thanks again Sandy xx

Thanks for posting this - I have only done one painting job like this and I want to do more but am definitely lacking confidence. Hopefully I might get more inspired!
