Office Nooks

This week on the Decorating Forum we have been looking at different ways to create a little nook for your desk.
Somewhere to rest the laptop and pay the bills. Or a place to let the little ones play on the computer but where you can keep a watchful eye on the screen.

Here are some of how favourite pictures we shared.
To see the full discussion and all the solutions we came up with pop on over to the Decorating Forum. Feel free to add any of your ideas or pictures there.

Behind the sofa.

Tucked in a bay window.

At the end of the hallway.
This little hideaway cabinet is from Ikea.

In a corner of a living room.

So which one did you like the best?
We would love to hear from you. Hope you have a great start to the week.

I like all of these ideas as an uncluttered work surface. For most, the computer area is a busy, messy techno space but having a small (out in the open) space for the kids to use just a laptop is a fabulous idea.

They are all wonderful. I would love any one of them. I work at the buffet in the breakfast room so I can be part of all the action. You really do show some great ideas. Hugs, Marty

Love the one at the end of the hallway - however they all look oh so glam - obviously they don't have two year olds pulling everything off the desk & scribbling on their paperwork?

I have one thats in a cupboard and I love it...tucked away so know one can see all my paperwork.....as if I could ever keep it messy regardless of the doors.....OCD much.

Good nooks, I liked them all. I have a romantic idea of having a desk behind the sofa though- don't know why...

I loved the sofa table one too Tricia Rose. They are very stylish and probably not quite the place for art work by your little ones lol. But the perfect place for you to be with the family whilst blogging and chatting on the Decorating Forum. This way you get less complaints from hubby for being on that silly computer instead of with the family.

Rosierose love the end of hall look but soooooooo not practical. Ikea hidden desk is the best I am hoping to do a hidden desk space in my butler's pantry

So many different ideas, I really like the idea of the one behind the lounge it would make it so easy to watch the kids if they are playing on the computer they won`t need to yell out every 2 seconds, of course it would have to be a nice looking desk though. I also like the cabinet from Ikea. All clever ideas. Tracey.

I love the one in the bay window. Nice to take a break from the screen and look out the window..I have a little desk area built into my kitchen, that works well too although it's small! Rachaelxx

They're all lovely but I really like the last one - simple, light and refreshing.

Love the bay window best, but unfortunately for editing, I need to keep out of beautiful direct light distorting what I see on my screen.

ATM i'm propped up in a corner of my living room, I will be doing a hallway-style nook when we renovate this area ( hopefully SOON! :) Xx
