OMG - this kitchen is almost as big as my house!
Opulent with a capital O.
gorgeous! but I am not sure about the stool on the left
Chandelier in the kitchen??
Do you like it? I chose this one today. He is my favourite kitchen designer. Opulent is a great description. This kitchen really only suits some great big mansion of a house. But only someone who owns that style of house could afford it- very pricey:(
I don't like the gilding but I love the detail, especially the curved moulding on the glass cabinets on the left. I love how there is symmetry but so that there is also a lot of variety. Basically I love it and the chandelier- perfect for swinging on (wink).
I have been looking at it for over 2 mins and cant find a single thing i like. i try and always find something.. but this room is the ugliest kitchen i have seen - sorry Julie-Anne.. The colour, style, guilding, grooves, impracticalities wall art, ceiling, flooring and even the vases.. Umm i will be quiet now. :)
I love the colour (green) but I dislike the colour of the island top. It's really busy and I get the impression that it would look a lot nicer in real life.
I really like the green colour and the chandelier and how BIG the space is, but I really don't like the kitchen at all - it's too fussy and busy and detailed and ornate for my style.
I love a bit of unexpected bling so am happy with the chandelier. But the rest is all too much for me. It's not a kitchen I'd like to sit and have a cuppa in. So overall, it's a no from me :)
I would be NOT HAPPY JAN in that kitchen. Can't like it. Too cluttery, too opulent, too much, too too too everything. LOL - I like smooth clean lines. My fav kitchen at the moment is none other than that of the lovely Mrs Chambo.
It is very fancy. I would imagine that if you had a kitchen that size and that fancy you probably would not ever have to cook in it. You with simply dine elsewhere or have staff. It's just a bit much for me.
Lol I agree The Moerks. Actually most people who would have a kitchen this opulent would have a second kitchen behind this one. The second kitchen is where the caterers or staff do the work- this kitchen would be just for show. Oh how the other half live lol.
I'm sorry but this kitchen is just too much for me - sensory overload, none of which appeals. Although I don't mind the chandelier which I think would make more of a statement if the kitchen was modern in style. BTW - love this game; it is so interesting to see what everyone thinks!
I loooove it! Although I think it's look prettier all white instead of the pale green....

Hi girls...I actually LOVE it...
It is obviously in a home which is BIG..has big rooms..& enjoys splendour...
I love Chandeliers..& I think this sits very well in this kitchen..
the cabinetry work is indeed quite splendid...
I probably would have chosen differing colours..re creams etc...AS i do NOT like the "salmon" type colour of the middle bench...
I would like a rich clotted cream decor throughout..
BUT in total it looks like a beautiful gorgeous & opulent working kitchen space..
My mum has a very similar kitchen...MUCH SMALLER...but similar lovely ornate carpentry..In lovely rich cream...& with a chandelier hanging therefrom...!!
mum & dad's toilet also has a chandelier...
OOHH...you have inspired me about MY next BLOG..
xx andrea
I can forgive a lot of detail in a kitchen like this but the pink on the island bench makes me ill! Too pink and mottled. It sprang out straight away!!
Like the green and the detailling but the pink is a real turn off!!
Needs much more subtlety.

I can't find anything I like in this kitchen except a chandelier. Sorry not my style. There is too much detail everywhere. It's too cluttered, my eye doesn't know where to look.
Ummmmm, well I like the chairs.......it all seems very cliche`. Even a set of long black gloves in the foreground like they have just returned from the Opera and asked James to prepare some juice for their thirst while they chat to their ancestors in the urns in the cabinets pick some fresh grapes and pull the leaves from the flower stems.....hehehe
I do apreciate the detail.
A little too Pretentious I think.
Although I enjoyed exploring
I think that this kitchen is very grand and obviously much loved and schemed by the owner. A-M xx
A bit over the top i think!
I love Clive Christian - I pour over his catalogues. Have you seen his bathrooms, study's etc? I do like this kitchen (including the chandelier) the only thing that always disappoints me with his designs (and although this is only a minute detail and probably doesn't count towards his "design" work) - if you have a look at his beautiful rooms, the flower arrangements/choice of flowers, are all really bad.
Ooh i love that kitchen, just as it is please, love chandiliers in the kitchen.
Like the new header and background on the blog too, very nice.

I like the idea of it, but would not want to keep it clean. It is a bit too gordy for me and over the top to the max! The colour is also not great.
Other than the chandelier, sorry I can't find anything I like about this one. Waaaay to gaudy and ornate for me, but more importantly is just not functional. Look at the picture and imagine making dinner there. The island appears to me miles from the counters. The fridge is apparently so far away it's not even in the picture, then you walk to a sink to rinse veggies. Next hike to the stove, etc etc.
Hi Everyone,
Have had a good look at this picture of the kitchen...I'm afraid I'm not going to say anything original here. Personally, for me it is too much and when you look at the layout it doesn't seem to flow. The only thing that I like in the room are the two chairs. Had a right crack up with the comment left by elements. (hahaha!!) You would certainly need a room this big to be able to carry it!.
Take care
